Webmaster's Personal Welcome

Thanks for visiting ProgrammingMSAccess.com.  I am Rick Dobson, an author/trainer/developer.  The site's name came from my first book, which focused on programming Microsoft Access.  Since the early days of the site in 2000, my interests evolved to include SQL Server, Visual Basic .NET and the Express suite.  I authored 7 books and 3 DVDs on Access, SQL Server, and Visual Basic .NET.   As 2006 begins, I am looking to hosting my first 21-hour webcast for the Express suite.

Please spend a moment reviewing the code samples, book excerpts, articles, working demos, FAQs, and tutorials that I prepared for you.  They are all free to use and peruse.  If you like the free content offered through this site, consider joining the Database Developers Group (DDG).  DDG members enjoy many benefits, including access to my most current and full-featured web-based content in the form of book excerpts, slide decks from seminars, code samples, and more.

I run this site as a public service to the SQL Server/VB/Access developer and database administrator communities.  Please consider signing our Guest Book so that we can stay in touch with you and give you news about the latest developments at the site.  My commitments as an author, trainer, and webmaster do not generally leave me time to reply to technical support requests.  The best way to get my personal help is to buy my books or attend my seminar webcasts.  It is my honor to offer site visitors help through the DDG, an international network of professional database developers.  See Technical Support for more details.
