Programming Microsoft Access Version 2002 by Rick Dobson, Ph.D. Who is it for? The book is written for intermediate to advanced Access developers as well as SQL Server DBAs and developers. Within this large audience are smaller audiences with specific needs. The book contains specific content that targets the needs of these smaller audiences. Most of my readers are busy, practicing database developers looking for programming solutions to typical Access development tasks. The book will also help developers using Access 2002 to build Microsoft SQL Server solutions with SQL Server 2000 and related technology, such as the Microsoft Desktop Engine for SQL Server 2000 (called MSDE 2000 in this book). This book also addresses the needs of those developers who want to add data-based Web techniques to their toolkit of solution development strategies. The book does not include a general introduction to Web technologies. Instead, it focuses on ways to make Access database files, SQL Server databases, and other relational databases provide content for Web pages. |
