SQL Server Express Database Applications

with VB Express and VWD Express Seminar

Our seminar training is completed for the Winter/Spring series, but we are busy planning a Fall/Winter round of presentations.  Feel free to browse this site to learn more about our training events.  Sign our Guest Book to make sure that you receive early notification of the dates and times for the next round of seminar presentations.

Welcome to the home page for the "SQL Server Express Database Applications with VB Express and VWD Express Seminar".  This is our site's sixth annual seminar presentation series.  This year's seminar features database development training from an experienced seminar leader at a more affordable rate than ever before.  When you combine our high quality, but low priced, training with a zero price for the software, you have a combination that is bound to make you more productive in a very cost effective way.  The software is from Microsoft, the largest software firm in the world.  The training is from Rick Dobson, the webmaster for this site and author of seven books and three DVDs on database development.  See the links below to learn more about the seminar or just click here to register immediately.

Tip of the Week:

For your convenience, we are providing a count-down to the start of the first, second, and third presentation series of our seminar.  You can use the count down to make sure that you do not miss registering for seminar presentations that you want to attend.

bullet <%=#3/6/2006# - int(Now)%> days to the start of the first presentations on March 6, 2006.
bullet <%=#3/13/2006# - int(Now)%> days to the start of the second presentations on March 13, 2006.
bullet <%=#4/3/2006# - int(Now)%> days to the start of the third presentations on April 3, 2006.

The seminar consists of 21 hours of training spread over three days (or six evenings).  The seminar will be presented once during normal business hours on Eastern Time (March 6-8) and once on Pacific Time (April 3-5).  In addition, we'll present the seminar once during six evenings on Central Time (March 13-15 and March 20-22).  By presenting the seminar at three different time zones and two parts of the day, we make it easy for you to find the time to attend.  To receive timely reminders about our seminar content and the schedule for presenting seminars sign our  Guest Book.  For example, if we are forced to add a new presentation schedule to accommodate more registrants, you'll be among the first to learn of its availability.  Those signing our Guest Book also receive notices about free content at the site.

The seminar draws heavily on Rick Dobson's most recent book titled "Beginning SQL Server 2005 Express Database Applications with Visual Basic Express and Visual Web Developer Express" and is complemented by additional content prepared for leading computer publications, such as SQL Server Professional and Visual Studio Developer, along with other special content prepared expressly for the seminar.  All seminar registrants receive a complementary copy of Rick's most recent book.  In addition, the seminar CD contains all slides and code samples that are available for presentation during the seminar.

By conducting the seminar in a webcast format, we dramatically lower the cost for live, interactive training.  In addition, seminar participants save on the inconvenience and cost of traveling to a hotel in a major city.  You can view slides and live demonstrations in your own browser.  We'll provide a toll-free telephone number to call so that you can hear the presenter, ask your own questions, listen to questions asked by fellow attendees, and hear answers to all questions.  Each seminar presentation will be restricted to a maximum size of 10 registrants.  This small class size plus the large range of topics covered will make it easy to get the help that you need.
