Day

Hands-on
Training |
Access 2002 and SQL Server
Development Seminar
|

Bring-your-own-computer Lab (or rent one of our's)*
 | Bring your own computer loaded with
 |
an operating system: Windows NT or Windows 2000 (with appropriate
service packs for Officexp)
|
 |
a web server: Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) with FrontPage
2002 Server Extensions
|
 |
application software: Officexp, including particularly Access 2002,
FrontPage 2002, Officexp Web Components, and SQL
Server 2000
|
 |
a browser: IE 5+
|
|
 |
One easy way to get your computer loaded with the right software is to start
with a Windows NT or Windows 2000 computer which has IIS loaded; see
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/iis/ for more about IIS and Windows.
Next, install Microsoft Officexp Developer (MODxp)*.
This will update your Windows installation for Officexp, install FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions on IIS, and load Access 2002, FrontPage
2002, and other software. Next, install the version of SQL Server 2000
version that comes with MODxp. Click
here to read our review of MODxp.
See http://www.officedevtestdrive.com/
for information on a trial version of MODxp available
from Microsoft.
