Hi FullName,
This is final message from ProgrammingMSAccess.com for
news and opportunities during the January-March quarter of 2005. We start with an announcement about a new
book review that someone gave one of my books at Amazon.com. Next, you can learn about two sets of prizes
available between now and
New Book Review at
Amazon.com
As you probably know, I am an author. I have many favorite computer topics, but one of my earliest favorites is programming Microsoft Access. In fact, I authored three books on this topic – one each for Access 2000, Access 2002, and Access 2003. My most recent programming Microsoft Access book has the title “Programming Microsoft Office Access 2003”. I promise you that it is my best book in the series. I have a lot of experience programming Access and writing about the topic. In addition, the overwhelming majority of my code samples in the Access 2003 book work in Access 2000 and Access 2002 as well.
Sales of the book were initially ok, but one or two readers complained that it was difficult to download the sample files for the book from the Microsoft Press site. I posted a message to Amazon.com explaining how to download the sample files, but my instructions were never published by Amazon.com. Finally, a reviewer noticed the problem some book buyers had, and he posted a short review of my book along with detailed instructions on how to download the sample files. I tried the instructions, and I can confirm that they work.
If you are looking for a book on how to program Access, please take a look at “Programming Microsoft Office Access 2003”. The link for buying the book from Amazon.com appears below.

Prizes for Site
Visitors and DDG Members
As we close the last month of a quarter, ProgrammingMSAccess.com frequently gives away prizes to Guest Book registrants. Yes Software has donated another copy of DemoCharge 2004. I have personally used this product, and I can testify that it is an easy to use program for capturing a series of screens that users can replay in a browser as an animated .gif file. If you ever wanted to show someone how to perform a task on a computer, this could be just what you need. ProgrammingMSAccess.com is also offering two copies of its webmaster’s most recent DVD. I had a lot of fun doing this DVD on T-SQL programming. If you want to get started with T-SQL or you want to remind yourself about T-SQL basics, this DVD can serve your needs well. You can gain eligibility to win any of these three prizes just by signing our Guest Book between now and the end of March.
Any DDG member is eligible to win the above prizes
without signing the Guest Book. This
privilege of being eligible to win prizes is a small part of what we mean by
“membership has its privileges.” In
addition, DDG members as of

An Exceptional Deal!
I made this announcement at the beginning of the month, but I am repeating it because feedback for newsletter recipients confirms that the opportunity was not clear. My DVD publisher, DV Press, offers a special price for either of my VB.NET DVDs. One DVD is titled “Programming Visual Basic .NET and ADO.NET for SQL Server and Access.” The second DVD is titled “Visually Learn Visual Basic .NET in 12 Hours.” For a little less than the next couple of months, you can purchase either DVD set for just $14.95 from the Amazon.com site. You can learn more about the DVDs and get to the discount offer pages from the following links. To see the special $14.95 offer, click the link on the page that says “new and used from $14.95”.
