Hi FullName,

The beginning of the quarter is always a happy time for ProgrammingMSAccess.com.  This message announces our prize give-away program for July through September.  Our prize sponsors and ProgrammingMSAccess.com are giving away eleven prizes with a total retail value equal to thousands of dollars.  This quarter we are honored to note that our prize sponsors include Microsoft, aadconsulting.com, and vb123.com.  As the webmaster, I am also contributing a bundle of some of my most popular books and DVDs.  If you like the content at ProgrammingMSAccess.com, I urge you to preview our prizes for the quarter.

In addition to drilling down a little further about the new prize opportunities at the site, we review a list of the ten most popular pages at ProgrammingMSAccess.com.  There are literally hundreds of pages of content at the site, but these ten pages attract around forty percent of the page views.  If you have been wondering what makes the site so popular, a look at this list will give you an idea.

Finally, we remind you that there's a recently updated set of filters for SPAM Blocker.  This is our personal solution for filtering spam.  We use it our self so that you get the same level of spam filtering that we enjoy.  We wouldn't make SPAM Blocker available for others, if it didn't work for us.  I sincerely believe that SPAM Blocker is among the best options for filtering spam if you use Outlook 2000, Outlook 2002 or Outlook 2003.

New Prizes for the July through September Quarter

When a new quarter starts, it is a special time at ProgrammingMSAccess.com.  This quarter we have the privilege of announcing a new round of software, book, and DVD prizes.  We feature this quarterly prize program as a way of saying thank you for visiting the site.  It is our goal to make it fun to come to ProgrammingMSAccess.com.

Our software prizes this quarter will appeal to a broad spectrum of computer users.  As usual, there are two ways to win prizes from the site.

Our Free Stuff section includes a detailed listing of each of the eleven prizes along with how to qualify for winning them.  In addition to the content at our site, there are also links available at the site for learning more about the prizes from the sponsors' sites.

There's plenty of time to qualify for all of our prizes at this point in the quarter.  However, the opportunity to qualify for some of our prizes will expire as soon as the end of July.  Therefore, I encourage you to look over the list of prizes at the site to make sure that you qualify for all the prizes that you wish to have a chance at winning.

Ten Most Popular Pages at the Site

ProgrammingMSAccess.com served nearly 1,000,000 page views in the past year.  There are literally hundreds of pages of content at the site.  However, not all pages are viewed equally often.  The ten most frequently viewed pages are nearly all gateway pages that include menus for viewing other pages with specific content.  The following list includes a short descriptive name for these top ten pages.  Click on any description to navigate to that page at the site.  We also include a short summary of several sections.

ProgrammingMSAccess.com started as a promotional site for the first Access programming book by the author.  In order to help readers decide if the book was right for them, he published selected samples illustrating how to code tasks.  Since the site's initiating, more topics are addressed with sample code besides just Access.  We now feature T-SQL and VB.NET as well as VBA code samples.  What sort of samples would you like to see more of at the site?

To better serve site visitors over the years, we added the SPAM Blocker, Database Developers Group, and seminar sections.  These are now among the most popular sections at the site.

SPAM Blocker Filters Updated

As we explained above, SPAM Blocker is our solution for filtering spam.  The solution works for Outlook 2000, Outlook 2002, and Outlook 2003.  SPAM Blocker is a VBA module that runs in back of Microsoft Outlook.  We check many parts of the message, including the sender's name, the message subject, the body, attachment name, and more.  We are constantly refreshing our filters.  In fact, it is our policy to refresh filters twice per month or more often, and we just revised our filters over the July 4th holiday.  As a result of refreshing our filters for over a year, we have thousands of filter values.  If SPAM Blocker sounds right for you, or you just want to learn more, we invite you to take a look at the SPAM Blocker home page.

I hope that you found this message interesting.  We encourage you to visit ProgrammingMSAccess.com and look over our content.  If you have a question about Access, SQL Server, VBA, or Visual Basic .NET, you may well find what you need at our site.  Also, take a moment to share this message with one or more of your colleagues who may also be able to benefit from our content or our prizes.  If you no longer wish to receive messages from ProgrammingMSAccess.com, just reply with Remove in Subject field.
