SPAM BLOCKER UPDATE
SPAM Blocker is our solution to filtering spam. We offered SPAM Blocker 2.0 since March, 2004, and SPAM BLOCKER 1.0 was available as early as June 2003. Over this period, we continued to make SPAM Blocker better by offering new filter values based on more sophisticated filtering technology and continuing to upgrade our support capabilities.
Since many of you receiving this message are database developers, you’ll be happy to know that we design and refine our filters with the help of a spam database that currently contains over 120,000 spam messages. BTW, we implemented the solution with VBA. Therefore, the VB developers receiving this message can pick up some cool string processing and Outlook programming techniques as well as benefit from its spam blocking capabilities.
We just refreshed our filters, which now total more than 1,700. In addition, we significantly enhanced our program logic for detecting spam. This logic improvement lets SPAM Blocker search more aggressively for spam than ever before while it concurrently drives down its already low rate of false positives. Since the initial release of SPAM Blocker, we provided a method for messages from important correspondents to bypass our filters.
We are proud of our track record as a stable firm offering spam filtering technology. In the past several months, we noticed a substantially increased rate of requests for support with Spam Blocker software, which we did not develop. This is probably because of the increasing number of firms offering products that purport to block spam. Most of the requests that we receive are to remove the software because it doesn’t work. See our special message about product support for our version of SPAM Blocker and those versions from other firms.
We stand behind our product with a guarantee that it will work if you properly install it on a computer with which it is compatible. Furthermore, we offer “free” support to those who purchase our version of SPAM Blocker to install and configure our product. You can select e-mail and phone support or just e-mail support at the time that you purchase SPAM Blocker.
If you want to benefit from the same spam filtering program that we use, visit the SPAM Blocker site to learn more about this wonderful product, including how to order your copy.

These prizes include a copy of a DVD set and a copy of a book both authored by the ProgrammingMSAccess.com webmaster as well as a one-year license for SPAM Blocker. At the end of the license, you can renew your license or just update the filter values on your own.
As you probably know, our main slogan at ProgrammingMSAccess.com is that "membership has its privileges." The membership to which we refer is membership in the Database Developers Group (DDG). The first existing member to renew or new member to join the DDG in September wins a copy of Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System. This is a Microsoft product that includes Visual Basic .NET Standard Edition, SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition, a royalty-free license for the Access 2003 runtime, and special software for programming Excel/Word 2003 with Visual Basic .NET. In addition, any member at the end of September is eligible to win a copy of either of two DVDs titled: “Programming Visual Basic .NET and ADO.NET with SQL Server and Access” and “Visually Learn Visual Basic .NET in 12 Hours.”
