Hi FullName,
The beginning of the quarter is always a happy time for ProgrammingMSAccess.com. This message announces our prize give-away program for April through June. Our prize sponsors and the site are giving away 10 prizes worth over $5,700! This tremendous prize opportunity would not be possible without the generosity of our prize vendors, including Peter’s Software, SoftArtisans, our own SPAM Blocker, and vb123.com. You can qualify to win one of these great prizes by signing our Guest Book or joining our Database Developers Group (DDG).
This message contains information about three additional topics. First, you’ll find a brief reminder about the benefits of DDG membership. Next, we announce the posting of a new product review at the site. We review products very selectively based on what we believe to be of interest to our site’s visitors. Finally, we remind you about what book buyers are writing about the webmaster’s most recent book – Programming Microsoft Office Access 2003.

Win by Joining or
Renewing a DDG Membership in Any Month during the quarter
Throughout each of the three months in the quarter, we
are offering some sensational prizes that can make you a smarter, more
productive developer. The prizes are available
to anyone who either joins the DDG or renews a DDG membership. The prizes for April are
We have additional details about both of the prizes in links at the bottom of this section. We also have a link for you to learn about the joiner/renewer prizes for May and June. Make sure you keep this message and/or mark your calendars to remember when to act to get your chance at winning the prizes for all three months.
We are giving away prizes in a different way than we have in the past. Anyone who becomes a new DDG member or renews an existing DDG membership during a month gets a chance to win the prizes during that month. You have all month long to decide whether you want to qualify for one of the prizes by joining or renewing. At the beginning of the next month, we’ll pick two winners. The first to reply gets their choice of either prize. The second person to reply receives the remaining prize.
Because the prize announcement is late this month, you can gain eligibility for winning either of the April prizes by joining or renewing your DDG membership from April 12 through May 11. The prizes for the other two months are for those who join or renew from first day of the month through the end of the month. If you join or renew during May 1 through May 11, then you gain eligibility for winning both April and May prizes.

Win Just by Signing

One happy feature of the ProgrammingMSAccess.com prize program is that you do not need to do anything special, such as join the DDG. Just by signing our Guest Book anytime during April through June, you qualify to win one of four prizes. In addition to getting a chance to win prizes, you’ll be the first to learn about new seminar training opportunities, the availability of new books and DVDs, as well as any new software products that we release to complement our current SPAM Blocker software offering. You can learn more about the prizes for general site visitors who sign our Guest Book from the Free Stuff section. Don’t forget to tell your friends about this opportunity. There is no charge for becoming eligible to win a prize when you sign our Guest Book.

Selected DDG Member Benefits and How to Join the
DDG
A subset of our website visitors elect to join the Database Developers Group (DDG). The DDG is a professional association of database developers and administrators. We currently have over 40 members in four countries. There are many benefits of DDG membership. The most advantageous benefits depend on the interests of individual members.
* The DDG library is an online library that currently has
45 resource files available exclusively to DDG members. Each month we add 1-2 more files for the
benefit of DDG members.
* We have an exceedingly rich collection of prizes
available for new and renewing DDG members.
* Our site passes along consulting referrals to DDG
members. We just emailed to DDG members
the eleventh referral in the past twelve months. This is about one opportunity per month!
If you would like to join the DDG, we look forward to
serving you. There is a modest
membership fee, but we believe the benefits far outweigh the cost. One prize or consulting referral could offset
the cost of several years of DDG membership.
In addition, all members can benefit from the DDG library whether or not
they are selected for a prize or pursue a consulting opportunity. If you are committed about growing as a
database professional from either business or technical perspectives, DDG
membership is a great choice for you.
Finally, this is one of our main ways of collecting funds to sustain the
effort for running ProgrammingMSAccess.com.
If you derive value from ProgrammingMSAccess.com, we ask you to consider
joining the DDG.

New Product Review
Posted
There are many content-rich areas at ProgrammingMSAccess.com. Almost since our beginning, we featured reviews of products that we believe will be of interest to our site’s visitors. These reviews are most often prepared by DDG members so that they reflect the point of view of a practicing database professional or hobbyist – someone not so different from you.
We add our twelfth product review this month.

A Reminder about
Programming Microsoft Office Access 2003
The webmaster’s Programming Microsoft Office Access 2003 review recently gained a couple of very popular reader reviews at Amazon.com. These reviews highlight why the book is so useful to anyone building solutions with Access. I think the comments are most insightful when he says: (1) the book is easy to understand and (2) it has lots of code samples. I was honestly striving to meet these two goals, and I am glad he received the benefit that I sought to deliver. If you are looking for a book on Access programming that is easy to understand with lots of code samples, Programming Microsoft Office Access 2003 may the right book for you.
