At the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Ludy accomplishes numerous operational goals and grows her professional skills.  For example, she implemented a survey application initially distributed and processed via WordPerfect.  Later, she converted the survey application so that the data was available in Access 97 and Access 2000.  In addition, she developed sixty forms in Visual Basic 6.0 to facilitate the acquisition of data for her survey application.  Ludy also developed code modules to facilitate the operation of the Access application, processing its data, and the forms for collecting the data.

Ludy created several other new systems at the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.  She designed and implemented a grant initiator and monitoring application.  She also created another grant tracking system complete with data entry forms, tables, queries, and reports.  Her responsibilities also include computer support for a wide range of ongoing programs in such areas as substance abuse, managed care, and administrative operations.

In addition to her position at the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Ludy serves as an adjunct instructor at the Hudson Community College and performs systems support functions for a local trucking company.  In these roles, she installed and upgraded Windows NT and Oracle along with related hardware.  In addition, she trains new users and demonstrates advanced computer skills by troubleshooting PL/SQL procedures, configuring data links, as well as preparing backup and recovery systems.

Ludy has been active as a computer professional since 1991.  She served as a computer analyst/programmer with the Multi-Data Processing Corporation.  Later, she served as a data analyst for the Franciscan Health Care System of New Jersey.  During this period, Ludy also offered professional services as an independent consultant.  In this capacity, she developed financial spreadsheets, performed broad-based support for personal computers in business settings, and was responsible for the generation of computer reports.

Ludy regularly participates in professional development activities to acquire new competencies and upgrade her existing computer skills.  She earned a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science in 1986.  Later, she completed certificate programs in such areas as COBOL Programming and WordStar Professional as well as Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Visual Basic.Net.  Beyond that, she completed the Access/SQL Server/FrontPage and Access/SQL Server/VB.NET seminars offered from ProgrammingMSAccess.com.
