Any new DDG member or existing member who renews from May 1 through  May 31 of 2005 is eligible to win a copy of OfficeWriter from SoftArtisans .  If your organization uses Office and SQL Server Reporting Services, OfficeWriter can drastically simplify the preparation of web-based reports.  With the OfficeWriter toolbar added to either Word or Excel, you can define queries for any data source (not just a SQL Server data source) and then add merge fields to either an Excel or a Word document.  A graphical designer facilitates the creation of queries.  You can preview your published report in either Word or Excel and then publish the report in rdl format to SQL Server Reporting Services.  OfficeWriter is exceptional in that it publishes full Word and Excel documents, including VBA, PivotTables, and PivotCharts.  You aren't limited to just publishing a report based on some content in Excel or Word.  After a report is published, anyone with permission to connect to SQL Server Reporting Services can view your reports authored in Excel or Word!

This prize is one of two prizes for which new and renewing DDG members are qualified to win.  We'll pick the winners from those who initially join or renew  from May 1through May 31 of 2005.  The first new or renewing member to reply gets their choice of this prize or a copy of The Access Workbench from vb123.com.  The second new or renewing member to respond wins the remaining prize.
